Communication

The 3DEXPERIENCE ERP Connector uses OData (open data protocol), a standard protocol based on REST (representational state transfer) web services for creating and consuming data.

ERP Connector includes smart Flow Design and Postman Import tools for fast integration setup with any ERP system.

OData applies web technologies such as HTTP/S/XML and JSON. OData is an ISO/IEC-approved, OASIS standard, ISO/IEC 20802-1:2016 (OData 4.0 Protocol) and ISO/IEC 20802-2:2016 (OData 4.0 JSON Format).

The SAP ERP Connector uses REST and SOAP Webservices for communication.

How do you implement the 3DEXPERIENCE ERP Connector?

Getting started with your 3DEXPERIENCE ERP integration has never been easier. With our dedicated service package, you can be up and running in as little as two weeks!

Preparation
During the first 2 days, we'll work together to identify business drivers and key objectives. We'll investigate systems setup and IT infrastructure, collect requirements, and establish a project plan.
Installation
During the next 2-4 days we'll install both the test and production systems with basic configurations, conduct a connectivity test and set up monitoring tools.
System setup
The most substantial phase of your 3DEXPERIENCE ERP integration project will be the configuration of use cases. From experience, this can take anywhere between 2 and 10 days, depending on the complexity of your requirements.
Testing and validation
Once we have the bidirectional plm-erp integration fine-tuned to your unique requirements, we'll spend the next 5 days testing, validating, making adjustments, and developing documentation.
Deployment and support
The final step: it's time to go live with your 3DEXPERIENCE ERP integration! During the last two days of the project, we'll fine tune for performance, supply the documentation needed to maintain your connection, and provide on-site support throughout your deployment.
